What to Expect When You Worship With Us

Visiting a church for the first time can feel uncertain. At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, our hope is that you feel welcomed, at ease, and free to focus on what truly matters: receiving Christ and His gifts.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come. We gather as people who need Jesus—and trust His promise to meet us through His Word and Sacraments.

A Warm and Genuine Welcome

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted and helped as needed, without pressure or expectations. Whether you are new to church, returning after a long time, or simply visiting, you are welcome here.

What Our Worship Is Like

Our worship is centered on Jesus Christ and shaped by the historic Christian liturgy. We use a blended approach, drawing from traditional hymns and carefully chosen contemporary music that faithfully proclaims Christ.

In a typical service, you will experience:

  • Readings from Holy Scripture
  • Confession and Absolution, where God’s forgiveness is spoken clearly in Christ’s name
  • Congregational singing
  • Prayers for the Church and the world
  • A sermon focused on Christ for you

You are free to participate as you are comfortable, standing, sitting, singing, or simply listening.

Our Sunday service lasts about one hour.

What Should I Wear?

There is no dress code. Some people dress up; others dress casually. Wear what helps you be present.

Children and the Nursery

Children are always welcome in worship at Holy Trinity. We rejoice when families worship together, and we understand that children sometimes make noise or need a break.

For parents who need it, a nursery is available and conveniently located near the sanctuary. The nursery provides a calm, safe space where parents can care for their children while still remaining close to worship.

The nursery is stocked with:

  • Age-appropriate toys
  • Books for young children
  • Seating for parents
  • A clean, comfortable environment for short breaks as needed

Parents are welcome to use the nursery at their discretion. You will never be judged for stepping out, or for staying in. We want you and your children to feel at ease.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is a precious gift given by Christ Himself. In this sacred meal, our Lord gives us His true body and blood, in, with, and under the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation.

Accessibility

Our church buildings are wheelchair accessible.

You Don’t Need to Know Everything

Some who worship with us are long-time members. Others are exploring the faith, returning after time away, or seeking clarity and peace in a confusing world. We believe Christ meets real people with real burdens, not with self-help, but with forgiveness, truth, and peace.
